Pretty girl, I hope you wake up one day & love exactly who you are even if you’re not where you want to be, yet. Love the things that made you uncomfortable & pushed you to learn HARD lessons. I hope you love all the things that were ever evil & ugly & unfair. It helped shape how deeply you can empathize. I hope you cling to the things that made you laugh after you ugly cried. Cling to the music that healed your heart when someone let you down. Play it on loop! I hope you wake up one morning refreshed & apathetic to the bullshit that stood in the way of growth. I hope you are self-aware enough to know when that was YOURSELF. I hope you can feel how strong you truly are because you have broken & rebuilt yourself from nothing on repeat. Always carry the best parts of the people who poured into your life. I pray you know the REAL power of prayer, but also never lose that little sense of hood in your spirit. Go on & forgive yourself for loving someone like complete shit when you know you could’ve been so much better. Don’t let it happen twice, boo. Let go of the guilt from asking too much of people who were toxic & narcissistic. Cancer is cancer until it’s eradicated. Cut it out.
